After years of planning and anticipation, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Spirit of Progress Building Project was held at the Windmere on Saturday, December 9.

Over 50 residents, neighbors and friends of the Home attended, including North Haledon Mayor Randy George and State Senator Nellie Pou. Both expressed excitement for the upcoming improvements and the Home’s continued partnership with the community.

The multi-year building project will create a new addition to the Home, allowing for a dedicated memory care wing and private single-bed rooms for all residents in Mountain View Nursing Unit.
