At the Windmere, we strive to provide our residents with the best physical, emotional and spiritual care possible in every stage of life.

Through the Spirit of Progress campaign, we have expanded our services by fulfilling three key objectives:

Upgraded Mountain View Skilled Nursing Unit
We have eliminated double-occupancy rooms in the Mountain View Skilled Nursing Unit and replaced nearly all of them with private rooms, each one featuring a full private bath. Safe access to a secure outdoor courtyard is also available. All this has created a more spacious and peaceful environment for residents that feels more like home. Families can remain confident that no matter which area of the Home their loved one resides in, they will be cared for with dignity and respect.

Respecting our Residents & Their Families
Recognizing that person-centered care is more than attending to physical needs, our floor plans include more areas for conversation, for visiting with family and friends, and for meeting privately with staff. Altogether the Home has renovated 22,000 square feet and expanded its footprint by over 7,000 square feet.

Ensuring the Long-Term Success of the Windmere
At the Windmere, we make a commitment to our residents that we will take care of them for life – and we mean it. Through The Spirit of Progress campaign, we equipped our facility for the 21st Century and enhanced the quality of lifelong care we provide – giving continued peace of mind to residents and their families.

This project has been the largest and most costly in the over 125 year history of the Home. It has also had the greatest impact on the current care of our residents. Generous support from our community of donors has brought us far into the project, but we would still welcome your support as we chart a course into the future! The project also provides many unique opportunities to commemorate and memorialize loved ones.
